At Wine Not, our mission is simple: to connect wine lovers with the incredible wineries that make New Zealand one of the world's most exciting wine destinations. Every winery has its own story, and our recent visit to Okurukuru Winery in Taranaki reminded us why exploring these unique locations is at the heart of what we do.
A Lunch Worth the Journey
Our team enjoyed a relaxed lunch while taking in the spectacular ocean views. Every dish celebrated fresh local produce and showcased the creativity of the kitchen.
The grilled corn was beautifully charred, finished with shaved parmesan, fresh microgreens and a rich glaze that balanced sweetness with a smoky finish. It was a simple dish elevated by quality ingredients and expert preparation.
The prawn dish was equally impressive, featuring perfectly cooked prawns in a vibrant tomato-based sauce with seasonal vegetables and fresh herbs. Every plate arriving from the kitchen reflected the same attention to detail that visitors have come to expect from Okurukuru.
The combination of outstanding food, locally produced wine and genuine hospitality made for an unforgettable afternoon.
